The Color of Happiness:

Having met no one who lived his/her life in a state of happiness continuously, it might be sound to view happiness as one of the emotional states we experience. (One color of a spectrum).

Is it fair to say that a canva painted with one hue (For example blue representing happiness) from edge to edge is neither a piece of art nor as interesting as a painting of different colors together?
Isn’t the one color pleasant to experience for some time in a certain space but a world with blue buildings, roads, cars, trees, birds, clouds…etc. all the time leaves nothing unique about the vast blue sky and oceans when they become indifferent.
The back ground color though, even when not visible anymore due to all the colors used to make a painting, this background color can only be one so the elements are visible and vibrant.. The background to me is the state of awareness of both the *self/presence (Oil drops on the spoon in the Al Chemist for Paulo Coelho - the being in spiritual traditions) and *the surroundings, feelings & experiences (what the boy was watching in Al Chemist- the doing in spiritual tradition) at the same time
So all the elements that give us a sense of wellbeing (a deeper state than happiness that can be experience while feeling different emotions) are important but they can only resonate to me and fall into place once awareness is the background.
Once aware of the self, the presence, the mortality of the physical body and the temporariness, rising & falling of the emotions & experiences positive and negative, then other elements together (The different colors on the Canva) are now noticed, magnified, appreciated and enjoyed) they are welcomed and honored not chased, enriching life (the painting we see) with a sense of calm (the state it influences - the wellbeing). It's like seeing the full picture of life.
Once we are present, we become the soil in which our wellbeing grows, the wellbeing that we plant its seeds and we enjoy its fruits that's when life flourishes.. This is why taking agency is key & the accomplishment element seems (from personal experience plays an important role in boosting the ability to take agency to be the observer & the doer in one's life. With practice we might be able to get closer to the balance of being while doing.
In a life lived with awareness/presence and the clarity it gives, emotions are recognized, processed without resistance & listened to wisely, engagement is a byproduct, relationships are authentic with the feeling of connection, belonging/approval of others is no longer chased but appreciated, meaning is not to be found or limited to being an activist, an advocate or a writer, it's present and lived in the smallest actions based on your values (A word to boost someone's confidence maybe), the self facilitate accomplishments instead of identifying through them or being attached to them, health is not a treasure we own and live in fear of losing - It's a gift we do our best to maintain and is still not granted.
